I just wanted to tell you and everyone else who will listen about depo-provera. This birth control injection has ruined my life. I am 27 years old who has been diagnosed with menopause due to depo-provera. I am currently reading Dr. John Lee's book, "What your Doctor May Not Tell You About Premenopause". What an excellant read. When I asked my doctor the side effect information, I was told there were virtually no side effects. That's the beauty about this drug. It's easy, effective and convienant. He said I would probably gain a few pounds and lose my period. He didn't mention the permanent ill effects this drug would cause. |

My Husbands aunt got the depo-provera shot and it caused her undiagnosed cancer to rapidly spread, so that within a month it went from the size of a pea to spreading out through her lymph nodes and bones. |

I have been using progesterone cream for about 5 months and it has helped a great deal with PMS symptoms but have noticed increased scalp hair loss and increased facial hair growth the last couple months. I don't know if it is related. Has anyone else had a similar experience? |
