Hello everyone: I am 43 yrs old and trying to conceive naturally. I have been charting my periods for a year and everything looks find. I conceived after 4 months of trying, but I had a miscarriage 35 days after ovulation. I was suspecting my hormones because my basal temperatures during menstruation are low (96.7-97.0) and even when I was pregnant the temps never got to be more than 98.1 on the highest days. I answer Dr. Lee's questionaire on his web site and decided to order saliva tests for the hormones the questionnaire suggested i should look into. I just got my results and would love to have comments about them (before I go to the md who might not even be friendly to alternative medicine). Here are my results from saliva tests from BODYBALANCE, saliva samples were taken on the luteal phase, the 22nd and 23rd days of the menstrual cycle: Female Check test: ESTRADIOL AM = 5.85 (RANGE 5.50-13.20) PROGESTERONE AM = 443 (RANGE 259-979) TESTOSTERONE AM = 59.0 (RANGE 25.0-135.0 Stress Check test: CORTISOL 8AM = 10.37 (REFERENCE RANGE 5.00-23.00) CORTISOL 12AM (MIDNIGHT) = 0.88 (REFERENCE RANGE 0.80-4.70) DHEA 8AM = 0.908 (REFERENCE RANGE 0.750-2.500 Waiting for your comments =)

Hello Maria, Your progesterone levels are in the normal range but on the low end. Adding natural progesterone cream during the luteal phase of your cycle may be a help to you. I have heard of women using progesteorne cream specifically to get pregnant and to maintain pregnancy. I recommend that you read what Dr. Lee has to say in his book "What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Menopause" on early miscarriage, pages 244-245 and infertility, pages 258-260. He will refer to Dr. Katarina Dalton MD out of London. You might brouse through some of her books as well. AIM Renewed Balance is a pure and natural progesteorne cream that does not contain any herbs that could interfere with pregnancy. I highly recommend it. Click here to learn more about this cream http://www.betterway2health.com/renewed-balance.ht m I hope this is helpful. Be Well, Amy www.betterway2health.com |
